Large sand drifts, the Rheezerbelten, alternate with forests, beautiful heathland and meadows with grazing Highland cattle and the most beautiful wild meadow flowers. Prefer walking with some elevation and beautiful views? The Lemelerberg, Archemerberg and Besthmenerberg nature reserves are just a stone’s throw away. In short, Rheeze is a wonderful place to stay. Cycling & hiking
Rheeze is located on stage 9 of the Pieterpad walking route from Hardenberg to Ommen. The popular Rondom Rheeze walk is a beautiful circular route of approximately 13 kilometres. The nearby Oldemeyer recreational lake is also a wonderful place to get some fresh air. We are also happy to advise you on beautiful cycling routes. Whether you want to take a ferry across the German border (LF 16) or follow another cycling route, there are many possibilities. Don’t have a bicycle at your disposal?
