Naturally beautiful…

DISCOVER NATURE AND CULTURE

The characteristic Rheezerbrink dates from the early Middle Ages and together with the surrounding thatched farmhouses and barns, is a protected village. The village itself has just over 300 inhabitants and is located approximately 5 km from the city of Hardenberg. The patio in our lovely tea garden offers you a stunning view on the Vecht river meandering through the landscape. You immediately feel like immersing yourself further in this authentic part of Vechtdal.

Nature-lovers will be amazed by one surprise after the next. Large sand drifts, the Rheezerbelten, are interspersed with forests, beautiful heathland and meadows with grazing highlanders and the most beautiful wild meadow flowers.
Prefer to hike with some height and beautiful views? The Lemelerberg, Archemerberg and Besthmenerberg nature reserves are just a stone’s throw away.

Culture and Dining

In addition to the varied landscape, the rich cultural history is also impressive. Just half an hour’s drive away are the Hanseatic cities of Zwolle, Kampen and Deventer. Zwolle has cultural must-sees like Museum De Fundatie and a bookshop in a church; Waanders in de Broeren. Furthermore, the art town of Ootmarsum and Landgoed Vilsteren are also recommended for a trip. Shopping is very good in Zwolle, Enschede or Hardenberg. To end the day in the vicinity, we recommend Restaurant de Rheezerbelten or Amused Food&Wine for an evening of culinary enjoyment.

NATURAL…WALKING AND CYCLING

Rheeze is located on the “Pieterpad “ trail from Hardenberg to Ommen. A nice walk of about 13 km is the popular “Rondom Rheeze” walk. The nearby recreational lake the Oldemeyer is also great for a breath of fresh air. We are happy to advise you on beautiful cycling routes. Whether you want to take a ferry across the German border (LF 16) or another cycling route, a lot is possible. No bicycles at your disposal? Inquire about our options.
